With advanced technology, we provide high quality PET and nuclear medicine imaging to enhance clinical outcomes. Our experienced team of professionals provide compassionate and personalised care to ensure patient’s are supported throughout their service.
We are committed to delivering a seamless patient experience, offering urgent next day appointments to cater for timely access to care and to support referring healthcare providers. Where possible, our services are Bulk Billed to ensure the accessibility of imaging to all patients.
Dr Shyam Sankaran
MBChB, FRANZCR, FAANMS
Dr Shyam Sankaran graduated from the University of Auckland in 2012 and completed his radiology training through the Auckland regional training scheme.
Following this, he relocated to Australia and completed a two-year fellowship in Nuclear medicine and PET/CT at the Alfred Hospital and at Monash Health and was awarded the AANMS registrar research award during this time.
Following nuclear medicine training, Shyam completed advanced training in Musculoskeletal MR with I-MED radiology in Albury.
Shyam’s focus lies in Musculoskeletal imaging, Nuclear medicine/PET/CT and oncological imaging, and he is particularly interested in the use of nuclear medicine techniques in musculoskeletal imaging.

Meet Eric, who has been a nuclear medicine technologist for over 25 years with clinical experience in both metropolitan and rural settings. His current role at WPNI is Chief Nuclear Medicine Technologist, leading a team of industry professionals. He is dedicated to providing high quality imaging with exceptional patient care and services to enhance clinical outcomes.
He has a special interest in Nuclear Cardiology.
